Harold doesn't ride horses out of any particular love for them. On the contrary, he finds these dumb, fragile animals more annoying than anything else. No, the only real reason he rides and breeds race horses is that it’s an extremely expensive sport and that he's unlikely to run into any “riff raff” in his riding club.
