Almost 14 years after a bloody war, a soldier becomes, like other fallen soldiers before him, a NearDeath Soldier: these are the corpses of resuscitated soldiers, who are considerably stronger and resistant than anyone or thing in their path, and totally devoid of feeling. Colonel Vandam is head of the NDJS (NearDeath LaJunta Squad).
